Brain Waves Development will host its first Woman meets girl STEMI conference targeted at female high school learners (grade 8-12), parents, teachers, government and industry professionals. The innovative setting will create a platform to discuss an in-depth and creative approach to one of the decisive problems in our world today: The role of women in STEMI.
The aim for this gathering is to have the voices of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMI) heard and to reach policy and decision makers. Through this program, Brain Waves Development (BWD) hopes to better the future of women in STEMI and our budding scientists, moreover, BWD aims to raise broad awareness of the not fully exploited potential of the female intellectualism.
Furthermore, it is important for BWD to play a leading role in raising awareness about the role of persons with disabilities in STEMI, the challenges they face and what needs to be done to increase STEMI interest amongst persons with disability. BWD believes society can play a role in collaborative efforts to create inclusivity.
