COVID-19 Update

Dear Friends

It is still hard to comprehend the magnitude of change, disruption, and illness that the world has experienced since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here at Brain Waves Development, we are all trying to navigate through these enormous challenges in the best way we can – taking care of ourselves, our families, and our communities. Please know that the BWD team extends our hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well.

The BWD team is continuing their deeply important work to ensure that we keep you updated and informed about the virus so you can remain safe and healthy under increasingly difficult circumstances around the world. BWD is supporting our learners and other stakeholders to prioritise their own health and the wellbeing of their families and communities during this crisis, and we are closely monitoring the evolving situation in each of the communities we work with.

There are many things right now that are outside of our control, but we are steadfastly committed to investing in girls, youth, and persons with disability to create a more just and equitable world. This mission is unwavering, even as we adapt our approach and innovate in this challenging time. What we do know is that COVID-19 will have the greatest impact on the most vulnerable people in our communities, and will worsen the enormous challenges so many of our disadvantaged communities are currently facing . This pandemic makes BWD’s work to advance rights, equal education and economic opportunities for our youth more important than ever.

We are slowly adopting to the new way of working and communicating during this time. The BWD team is currently working on putting innovative systems in place that will enable us to continue to serve our communities to the best of our abilities.

This too shall pass and we will come out a stronger nation that is ready to rebuild, learn and importantly Thrive.

Warm regards
